Another pastiche to Bouguereau. This time of his 1891 Wet Cupid painting.

Xie belongs to me. Done in openCanvas over a crappy pencil sketch (which is no longer visible). Took about 7-8 hours.

If Xie were to actually stand in the sun as long as it took me to paint this image, his skin would be roasted crimson. DAMN YOU WHY ARE YOU PRETTY?

Anyway, *retrieves her eyes back*. That's the last of 'em for now, folks! I'm tired.

I...Love...It! I can't stop looking. You portrayed Bouguereau's style really well, though the hair and arms (in terms of perspective) could use some work...the colouring, shading and all...its just stunning!

I really love this, and I know you said it was an homage to the original artist, but don't you think you should link to it? It's beautifully painted, but a lot of it is exactly like the original. I just think it's only fair to give the amazing original artist more credit :)
